LCWA Position on Park and Preserve Closure

LCWA Preserves and Hickory Point Park Update for May 21, 2020

The Boat Ramps, Fishing Pier, Boardwalk, and Picnic Grounds are open at Hickory Point.  Boat Ramp and Fishing Pier/Swimming Beach Restrooms and Playground will be reopened by the evening of Friday, May 22nd and remain open until further notice.  The Pavilion will remain closed to events at this time.

As of May 8th all preserves excluding Scrub Point were reopened to the public.  
This includes Hidden Waters, Flat Island Preserve, Sabal Bluff, Bourlay Historic Nature Preserve, Sawgrass Island Preserve, Crooked River Preserve and Lake Norris.  Restrooms located on Flat Island Preserve, Crooked River Preserve and Bourlay Historic Nature Preserve will reopen on Monday June 1st.
 
Currently we are not issuing any camping permits and the canoes/kayaks are not available to reserve. We will post here and on our facebook accounts when we can begin taking reservations. You are welcome to use your own canoes and kayaks.
